This weeks challenge from Color My Heart Color Dare is to create something with White Daisy, Cranberry, Pear and Gold.

I originally wanted to create a birthday card since I am finished with my Christmas cards and need to build up my birthday card stock.  But, come on….Cranberry, Pear and Gold…I just had to do a Christmas card.   I haven’t embossed for a while so it was nice to use that technique again.

I love this retired Close to My Heart stamp set, Shining Star.  I have never used it for a holiday card so thought I would give it a shot.  I also wanted to see how the gold Foil tape would look with the embossing folder. I like it.

Thank you Color My Heart Color Dare for the fun these challenges provide!

Supplies:

Cardstock: CTMH White Daisy

Stamps: CTMH Shining Star, CTMH Twinkle Stamp of the Month

Stamp Pads: CTMH Cranberry and Pear

Other: CTMH Gold foil tape, Gold embossing powder, bitty pearls and red sparkle gem, Confetti stars embossing folder.

Don’t forget to pin it if you like it!

  1. I love your big, bold, colorful star and your gold foil tape looks pretty cool embossed! Thanks for sharing this great card with us at the Color Dare this week.
    🙂 Marie

  2. What a stunning card! Love how you did your star and stamped “twinkle, twinkle”. Thank you for inspiring us a Color My Heart Challenge Blog.

  3. I have that star! I have that star!! I have that star!!!

I LOVE it when someone creates something fresh and new out of a retired stamp set. It helps me remember how much I love it and makes me believe that, someday, I’ll pull it back out again. At least that’s why I hang onto sets that haven’t seen the light of day in a long time.

    (I can’t sell this, it’s so PREEEEETTTYYYY!)

Beautiful card! Thanks for the inspiration…and justification. 🙂
